Dalton Fold, our rural housing development in Croston has just been named amongst the top 50 affordable housing developments in the UK.  The development received the accolade after a panel of judges scrutinised a stack of entries to find affordable and social housing projects that really stand out. A village housing scheme should suffer from fewer problems as a result of improvements carried out by Lune Valley Rural Housing Association. Improvements to car parking arrangements have been carried out at Willow Close in Forton. Lune Valley Rural Housing Association has installed car parking bays in the development of ten properties in response to tenant concerns that the grass verge was being churned up by vehicles being parked on the side of the road. Work has started on the construction of 14 new homes for rent in Adlington by Adactus Housing Association. The properties, which comprise 5 bungalows, 5 houses and 4 flats, are being built across two sites at Acresfield in Adlington. The homes are being built by Adactus Housing Association on land provided by Chorley Community Housing (CCH), who will manage the properties once they have been completed. Chorley Community Housing completed a £350,000 makeover of the Greenside estate in Euxton, Chorley  in November 2012.  The occasion has been marked by the planting of a shrub by Lindsay Hoyle MP. Improvements to the estate include blocking up of unwanted ginnels, creating new front gardens for residents, improved street lighting and the provision of additional car parking. A £350,000 makeover of the Greenside estate in Euxton, Chorley is nearing completion. The work, which is being undertaken by landlord Chorley Community Housing (CCH), is due to finish in early September.
