A village housing scheme should suffer from fewer problems as a result of improvements carried out by Lune Valley Rural Housing Association. Improvements to car parking arrangements have been carried out at Willow Close in Forton. Work has started on the construction of 14 new homes for rent in Adlington by Adactus Housing Association. The properties, which comprise 5 bungalows, 5 houses and 4 flats, are being built across two sites at Acresfield in Adlington. Chorley Community Housing completed a £350,000 makeover of the Greenside estate in Euxton, Chorley  in November 2012.  The occasion has been marked by the planting of a shrub by Lindsay Hoyle MP. Improvements to the estate include blocking up of unwanted ginnels, creating new front gardens for residents, improved street lighting and the provision of additional car parking. A £350,000 makeover of the Greenside estate in Euxton, Chorley is nearing completion.
