CCH have funded materials for the local police to aid personal awareness and safety in Chorley.  The CCH neighbourhood fund bought glow in the dark wristbands for children and purse key chains for adults. Local PCSO’s manned a stand in Chorley Library at the weekend as part of national libraries day where they gave out the safety items and passed on valuable safety awareness to local residents. Work continues on Adactus500′s scrutiny of energy efficiency. Following on from the Scrutiny Panel’s scoping meeting, our Internal Affairs team has been busy gathering evidence to present to the Scrutiny Panel at their next meeting next weeks. The Chorley Community Housing (CCH) Neighbourhood Fund awarded Chorley St Peters church meeting room with new tables and chairs this year.   The meeting room is used by many different groups throughout the year including the Guides and Rainbows.  Over the past few years the furniture had become worn with chairs ripped and tables that had chunks missing from the end.  The furniture became unusable for some of the activities once held there. A £330k scheme to improve over 40 homes on the Chorley Moor estate is now underway.  CCH have commissioned Frank Rogers Building Contractor Ltd. to carry out improvement  works to the houses on Liptrott Road and to the flats on Hallwood Road. These works are part of a plan by CCH to improve the aesthetic appearance of the Chorley Moor estate over the next few years and will include a selection of walls and railings for front gardens to replace …
