Active 4 Mums are running a 6 week programme promoting physical activity and healthy eating for new mums. The group were awarded funding to run these sessions from Chorley Community Housing’s Neighbourhood Fund. The sessions are currently underway at two venues, Duke Street Children Centre and Highfield Children Centre.  Every session includes a nutrition discussion with weekly challenges created to make small but important changes to a new mum’s diet, as well as indoor exercise aimed specifically at new mums. …

Chorley Community Housing (CCH) has secured a £1000 grant from E.ON’s Digital Action fund to train 10 tenants to become ‘Digital Champion’s for their community. The ‘Digital Champions’ project will include an 8 week programme to prepare the 10 participants with IT and online skills and knowledge so that they can then help others to go digital. On Wednesday, the Adactus500 scrutiny panel on DLO productivity (repairs) met in Leigh for a final time to finish their scrutiny exercise. The main purpose of the final meeting was to give scrutiny panel members the opportunity to look in detail at the final report produced by our internal affairs team, consider the recommendations, and add their own recommendations too. The Adactus Housing Group Head Office and Adactus Housing Association regional offices will be closed during the Christmas and New Year Period. Our offices will be closed from Thursday 25 December 2014 and will re-open on Friday 2nd January 2015. Please note: On Wednesday afternoon 24 December we will be providing an emergency service only.
