Work has started on the construction of 14 new homes for rent in Adlington by Adactus Housing Association. The properties, which comprise 5 bungalows, 5 houses and 4 flats, are being built across two sites at Acresfield in Adlington. The homes are being built by Adactus Housing Association on land provided by Chorley Community Housing (CCH), who will manage the properties once they have been completed. A £1.75m housing scheme has been completed by Adactus Housing Association in Trafford. The 16 new flats for rent have been built by Adactus in partnership with Trafford Council at Bowfell Road in Urmston, Manchester. The scheme has been funded by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) under the Affordable Homes programme. A derelict site which has lain empty for almost 40 years has been transformed by the completion of 18 new homes for rent in Birkdale by Adactus Housing Association. An eye catching development of new homes in Preston has been hailed a success. The 25 houses – at Crummock Road, Fishwick – have been built by Community Gateway Association in Preston.  The scheme, which cost £2.5m, replaces flats that had been built in the 1930s in a road formerly known as Patterdale Close.
