Volunteer led community group S.O.R.T.E.D, which has been running for over 8 years, seeks to enhance the life styles of Bootle residents who are over the age of 55. The group, which meets on a weekly basis at Northfield Church, puts on a whole host of activities, from weekly coffee mornings to theatre visits and day trips. Chorley Community Housing (CCH) are inviting their tenants to attend a completely FREE OF CHARGE health check at their local office: Ann James House, 32-34 St Thomas’s Road, Chorley. Dates for the health checks are: – Tuesday 2nd December – Monday 8th December appointments between 9:30am and 5pm. 68 young people from Sefton were given a thrill seeking holiday adventure with thanks to Sefton Children’s Trust (SCT) and local housing provider, Adactus Housing Association. Wigan and Leigh Young Carers (formerly known as Friends of Young Carers) have been awarded a £1000 grant from the Adactus Housing Association Neighbourhood Fund to purchase two laptops and run a training course for young people about staying safe online.
