Jennings Community Boxing Academy has been successful in securing funding from Chorley Community Housing’s neighbourhood fund. The academy was awarded funding to provide a completely FREE OF CHARGE family and community health and fitness scheme.  The scheme ran from the beginning of January at the Jennings gym, which is located in the Coppull Enterprise Centre. British Science Week is nearly upon us and to celebrate, Chorley Community Housing have organised two slimy science events in Chorley. Commencing on Friday 13th March, British Science Week, is a ten day programme of science, technology, engineering and maths events and activities all across the UK for people of all ages. Do you have what it takes to help others get online? If so, Chorley Community Housing want to hear from you. CCH have recently launched a ‘Digital Champions’ project after securing a £1000 grant from E.ON’s Digital Action Fund. The project includes an 8 week programme to prepare 10 Chorley residents with IT and online skills and knowledge so that they can help their neighbours, friends and family to go digital too. Kind hearted Chorley Community Housing (CCH) residents at Ryefield in Heapey have held various events throughout the last year to raise funds for charity. Residents at the retirement scheme have held garden parties and coffee mornings, baking their own goodies for the parties as well as enjoying tombola’s and raffles.  They have raised a total of £1300 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
