Moss Side Community Allotment, with the support of Adactus Housing Association, have secured £6000 of Food Poverty Funding. The funding, provided by Manchester City Council, is to be spent over two years in a bid to make an impact on localised food poverty, in Moss Side and surrounding areas. All of our front-line staff receive training in identifying cases where a tenant may need some support because they are vulnerable. If a member of staff visits someone in their home and is concerned about the welfare of the tenant or a member of their household, they are encouraged to complete a concern card with brief details of the issues. Residents in Southport reported their concerns to our Chorley Tenancy Enforcement and Support Team, after they were regularly disturbed by a neighbour shouting aggressively in his house. An officer visited to talk to the 2 tenants and found the condition of the property was poor. One of the tenants, an elderly male with physical disabilities advised that he was the carer for the younger male. This is the second quarterly review of anti-social behaviour (ASB) activity reported to Adactus. The tenant scrutiny panel into ASB recommended the data are made available on our website. In the period January-March 2015, there were 275 ASB and tenancy fraud incidents reported to Adactus. The most common kinds of nuisance reported were: noise (29%), drugs/substance abuse (8%) and garden nuisance (6%).
