Bootle charity, YKids, has secured a grant from local housing provider, Adactus, to expand on its media projects.  The charity, which works with young people across Bootle, applied for funding to purchase camera equipment which will enable the young people to learn new skills, such as photography and digital editing. The Adactus neighbourhood fund has helped a local parent / carers support service based in Newton Heath for a 3rd Year running.  Talbot House applied to the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund in 2014 and was awarded £1250 to provide much needed support for parents of children with additional and complex needs. Residents at Wickham Hall extra care scheme are pleased to announce the opening of their new scheme shop, Cloe’s Corner.  The shop, named after resident Mary Smith 10 year old granddaughter Cloe, was set up to help residents maintain their independence. The shop, which is situated inside of the scheme, is perfectly located for residents and visitors to pop along and stock up on basic supplies.
