Adactus Housing Association is calling for Sefton residents to come forward for their last chance to grab a slice of the Neighbourhood Fund pie! Community grant scheme, the Neighbourhood Fund, is currently open for round 2 and Adactus are inviting individuals and groups alike to apply for cash to support a community project in their area. Adactus Housing Association and Contour Housing provided a family fun day on the 27th August 2014 for residents of Foxdenton Drive and surrounding streets in Stretford. Children enjoyed craft activities, painting bird boxes and getting their faces painted. There was also an animal in-tuition workshop where Andrew Grantham assisted children in learning about the different animals. Adactus Housing Association provided a tea party for the residents of Victoria Court in Openshaw to enjoy some fun time together. Victoria Court provides residents with 30 purpose built apartments to suit the need of the retired / semi retired community.  The retirement apartments can offer self-contained affordable accommodation to enjoy companionship, active social lifestyle, privacy, security and independence at ones own pace. On Wednesday, the Adactus500 scrutiny panel on value for money in lettings met in Leigh for a final time to finish their scrutiny exercise. The main purpose of the final meeting was to give scrutiny panel members the opportunity to look in detail at the final report produced by our internal affairs team, consider the recommendations, and add their own recommendations too. A panel of Adactus Housing residents in South Manchester have given funding to support the Compassion Food Bank in Moss Side for the second year running. The panel of residents awarded £1000 from the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund to the local Food Bank which will enable them to produce at least 75 emergency food parcels for people in need in the area. Each emergency food parcel contains enough food for every person to have 3 meals a day, for 3 days. Michelle …
