The Community Works Support Group has been successful in securing £850 from the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund.  The Community Works Support Group provide craft and friendship for people with mental health problems and their carers. The group applied to the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund for funding to help maintain the group as there is little support across the North of Manchester for people with Mental Health problems. Adactus staff teamed up with residents at Bamber Court, our Young Mother and Baby unit in Hindley, Wigan, to organise a get together for a morning read and rhyme session on 31 May 2013.  The event gave the young mothers and their children a perfect opportunity to enjoy a read sitting in the garden to make the most of the recent sunny weather. At Adactus Housing Group we are actively taking steps to help our tenants that may be affected by the bedroom tax. Under the Government’s new rules if you have more bedrooms than the Government says you need, you will lose part of your housing benefit. Last night, the very first Adactus500 scrutiny panel met at our Head Office in Leigh to start their scrutiny of tenant safety (fire and gas).
