The Breathe Team at Adactus recently funded first aid training for residents at our supported project in Lancaster. Six residents from Oak Tee House undertook the training and learnt how to assess an incident, attend to wounds & bleeding, understand how the respiratory system works, practise life saving techniques such as CPR and how to put people in the recovery position. Greater Manchester will soon be voting for its first directly elected Mayor. Adactus is working in partnership with the National Housing Federation to campaign for Greater Manchester’s first ever Mayor to prioritise affordable housing on the political agenda and help solve our housing crisis. The elected Mayor will assume new powers relating to housing, planning and infrastructure. Chorley Community Housing (CCH) has become a founder patron of Chorley Youth Zone currently under construction in Chorley town centre and is due to open in spring 2018. Chorley Community Housing manages over 3,000 homes across the Borough and this month is celebrating 10 years since the stock transfer was agreed with Chorley Borough Council. At Adactus we are celebrating National Apprenticeships Week. Between 6 and 10 March 2017, we will be showcasing some of our apprentices.  We have a dedicated Enterprise & Funding team that coordinates our internal apprenticeship opportunities, work experience placements and graduate trainee programme. Our apprenticeship programmes range from 12 months to four years in length – dependant on the role. Throughout the programme, apprentices enjoy a bespoke development plan – tailored to them and the role.  There are clear milestones, regular feedback …
