Adactus provides helping hand for Wigan & Leigh carers
Much needed equipment has been provided for Wigan and Leigh Carers centre.
The equipment was funded via the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund and included a projector, screen and laptop.
The equipment will enable the centre to provide much needed training and support for carers of all ages in the Wigan Borough.
Samantha Hornsby, Neighbourhood Development Officer at Adactus Housing Association, presented the equipment to the carers centre and said “It is fantastic that we are able to contribute towards this project which benefits so many carers in the area.”
The Wigan and Leigh Carers centre is situated next to the town hall, Frederick Street, Hindley and provides crucial support and access to a range of services.
Kevin Dempsey, Adactus tenant and member of the carers centre, said: “The centre really makes a difference to so many people and thanks to this equipment we can help even more carers.”
