Tenants views on our Annual Report 2012 – Survey Results

In October 2011, we published 4 Annual Reports for each subsidiary, illustrating how we had performed over the previous year under each of the National Standards:

We asked Adactus500 members for their views on the format and content of the 2010/11 report and what they would like to see in the forthcoming report (to be published in October of this year), particularly under the heading of ‘Value for Money’.  »Please click here to view the full results 

What we learned from the results:

1. Adactus500 members were positive about the reports describing them as ‘easy to read’, ‘eye catching’ and ‘well organised’. Overall, the report was rated highly by two thirds of the members.

2. There was also consensus that the use of pictures and photos was a good idea with members commenting that they lightened the read of the report, enabled residents to see some of our workforce and made the report feel more personal and inviting. Nine in ten felt the mix of graphs, pictures and texts helped tenants to better understand the data.

3. All but one said the report contained the kind of information they were interested in. Just under half said we should make the report available to tenants by publishing on the internet, providing paper copies on request and a summary in our newsletter.

4. Eight in ten felt the reports clearly showed how well our services compared to the six TSA standards and felt our improvement priorities were clearly illustrated.

Members were asked what they would like to see in this years report, particularly under the heading ‘value for money’. The response was mixed but slightly more were interested in seeing ‘a breakdown of how we spent tenants rent’ and the ‘cost of the services we provide’. In addition, seven in ten said they would be interested in seeing tenants’ comments about value for money.

What we will do with the results:

We will use the feedback Adactus500 members gave us to develop this years report, both in terms of the design/overall look and the content. In light of the findings we will include more information on value for money of our services in this years report and include tenants views on this. We will also produce a short summary of the report in our newsletter.
