Around 500 local residents descended on Buttermere Green on the Chorley Moor Estate last week for the annual family fun day. The fun day, which is now in its fifth year, is organised by local housing provider Chorley Community Housing and supported by numerous local agencies, including Chorley Borough Council, Living Waters Church and first aid organisation, Chorley’s Angels. We recently ran an Adactus500 consultation on the topic of customer care and what our tenants think is ‘good customer service’.   This was to develop our customer care pledge further and give Connect staff some examples of good customer service for training purposes.    The customer care pledge sets out the standards our customers can expect across our services. On Wednesday, the Adactus500 scrutiny panel on staff retention met at our head office in Leigh to continue their scrutiny. The main purpose of the interim meeting was to give scrutiny panel members the opportunity to look in detail at the interim report produced by our internal affairs team, and to challenge the findings. It was a record breaker in Lightbowne this week.  Over 150 children and their families attended a free summer fun day event supported and hosted by Adactus Housing Association and Northwards Housing. The annual event, now in its fourth year, provides a fun and safe environment for residents from different generations and backgrounds to meet and have a great time.
