On Wednesday, the Adactus500 scrutiny panel on value for money in lettings met in Leigh for a final time to finish their scrutiny exercise. The main purpose of the final meeting was to give scrutiny panel members the opportunity to look in detail at the final report produced by our internal affairs team, consider the recommendations, and add their own recommendations too. Weaverham Community Centre have secured funding through the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund for the second year running.  The centre received £500 towards supporting their Holiday Sports Club. The sports club ran daily throughout the holidays, for free, for children in the area aged 6 to 11. The aim of the holiday club was to ensure that children in the local area can engage in a social activity that is in a safe environment with the sessions being delivered by professional coaches. …
