Chorley Community Housing (CCH) is to sponsor a short story competition for children as part of the ‘What’s Your Story, Chorley?’ event. Prizes worth a total of £150 are available.  The competition, which is open to children of CCH tenants, is inviting entries from three different age groups on the theme of ‘My magical house’. Plans for a £400,000 investment in cosmetic improvements to parts of the Chorley Moor estate have been announced by Chorley Community Housing (CCH). The works, which will see environmental upgrades being carried out to 45 properties at Lydgate and at Liptrott Road in Chorley, are due to commence in the autumn. The expenditure follows on from upgrades for houses at Harestone Avenue and flats at Crook Street and Yates Street which have seen more than 70 homes improved to date …

Derelict garage sites in three Chorley villages have been transformed into much needed homes to rent thanks to Adactus Housing Association and Chorley Council. The houses and flats – in the villages of Mawdesley, Charnock Richard and Euxton – have been built by the housing association using money and land provided by the council. Corner plots of land across a Chorley housing estate have been given a much need needed splash of colour thanks to Chorley Community Housing (CCH). Chorley Community Housing (CCH) have funded several events and activities over the past few months for Network 50+ at Tatton Community Centre.  The Network 50+ group supports older people and their families throughout the Chorley area, helping them to live healthy, happy and active lives. The group received a £500 grant from CCH’s Neighbourhood Fund which was put towards armchair keep fit sessions, cookery and gardening demonstrations, a guest speaker and entertainer.  The grant has also been used to purchase …
