On Wednesday, the Adactus500 scrutiny panel on Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) met at our Head Office in Leigh to continue their scrutiny of ASB. The main purpose of the interim meeting was to give scrutiny panel members the opportunity to look in detail at the interim report produced by our internal affairs team, and to challenge the findings. The Chorley Community Housing (CCH) Neighbourhood Fund have recently funded the hire of coach for our residents at our Heath Charnock scheme to enjoy a day out in Thornton Cleveleys. Although the residents meet regularly, they applied to the Neighbourhood Fund so that they could enjoy have a “get away” following the recent bad weather. Chorley Community Housing (CCH) have started environmental works in the town at Progress Street.  Having consulted all the residents living in the cul-de-sac, an agreement was reached on replacing the timber fencing with new brick walls, repainting all of the existing render on the houses to brighten up the street as well as installing new soffits, fascias and gutters. Thirty residents from Eldon House retirement apartment block in Chorley were treated to a luxury day of relaxation therapies and dinner on Wednesday 12th February. The event was run by Sefton O.P.E.R.A. (Older Persons Enabling Resource & Action) and funded through a grant from the Chorley Community Housing (CCH) Neighbourhood Fund.
