Iwama Ryu North West / Lancashire Bushcraft have successfully bid for an amazing £6000 of funding from the Chorley Community Housing Neighbourhood Fund. The cash will be used to pay for a full year of free Aikido classes and Bushcraft activities for youngsters from Chorley and the surrounding areas. The Aikido classes started on November 1st 2011 and will run for a whole year and the Bushcraft activities will take place every Sunday morning for a year using local woodlands. …

Chorley Community Housing (CCH) has taken legal action to stop a 29 year old woman from verbally abusing a 16 year old girl. The woman, who lives with her mother on Wright St in Chorley, is understood to frequently shout abuse at the girl, with complaints being made about this since 2008. CCH has taken several steps to deal with the woman’s behaviour over the years, including previously obtaining an injunction order, which resulted in the woman moving out of …

Sheltered housing tenants of Chorley Community Housing (CCH) in Eccleston have starting surfing the information superhighway. Seven tenants from The Fields sheltered housing scheme have been given an introduction to using the Internet following training by Adactus Housing Group. The training took place in the common room at The Fields, where residents normally meet for a coffee and a chat. Adactus Housing Group have announced plans to build 65 new homes in Sefton in partnership with Sefton Council. The plans, which cover the next four years, represent an overall investment of almost £8m in new housing in the borough and includes £2m of grant from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). Five tenants of Chorley Community Housing (CCH) have been hailed as good neighbours. Residents from Heapey, Euxton and Chorley are all recipients of CCH’s 2011 Good Neighbour Award. Amongst the winners were Megan Woof of Calder Avenue in Chorley, Anthony and Marian Donohue of Greenside, Euxton and Gerard Dolan of Scawfell Road, Chorley.
