On 19th October Cranswick Square Residents Association won yet another award. This time they achieved the highest possible award at North West in Bloom. For the second year running they achieved Level 5 Outstanding Award for ‘its our Neighbourhood 2011′ and the prestigious ‘Northwest Heart of the Neighbourhood Trophy, Best Neighbourhood Award 2011′. The group set up in 2009 to get together to tackle various problems with their neighbourhood. They transformed a gated area to the rear of their properties. …

Adactus Housing Group have announced plans to build 110 new homes across Greater Manchester. The plans, which cover the next four years, represent an overall investment of almost £10m in new housing and includes £2.3m of grant from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). Up to £250 can be claimed by tenants of Chorley Community Housing (CCH) who suspect their neighbours of committing tenancy fraud. The landlord has announced plans to pay the bounty as part of ‘Catch A Cheat in Chorley’ week.
