This month Adactus teamed up with Moston Sure Start Centre and local residents from Lightbowne to hold a Family Fun Day to help raise money for a local New Moston charity, Costello Kidz.  Costello Syndrome is a rare genetics syndrome with only an estimated 250 people diagnosed in the world.  Last year Helaina Stone who has Costello syndrome volunteered and completed two weeks work experience at Moston Sure Start Centre, this was such a tremendous achievement that Moston Sure Start …

Adactus carry out planned maintenance improvements (e.g. new windows, bathrooms, kitchens, roofs etc..) on a rolling programme across our stock. We program work according to the age of the component parts (i.e. how old your bathroom is) and the condition it is in. At the present time, we offer improvements to all tenants, regardless of their tenancy status. Three new jobs giving people a start in the building industry have been announced by Adactus Housing Association. Adactus is looking to recruit apprentices in three trades and is seeking people aged 16 or over from the Leigh area to fill the roles. Residents at Fairfield sheltered housing scheme in Crosby have been awarded £500 by landlord Beech Housing Association. The monies, from the Association’s Green Grants scheme, will be used to buy new garden furniture and restock the flower beds with new shrubs. Tenants across the Adactus Group are all set for a rerun of the hit TV show Dragon’s Den with the news that Adactus Housing Group has £200,000 to give away to deserving community projects from its Neighbourhood Fund. This includes £20,000 to give away to Beech Housing Association.
