Fun for Everyone.Coverage on another successful event Adactus has supported local residents to organise in Miles Platting.  Over 30 people attended on the day, including residents from Exford Close and the local community that got together to enjoy the food and drink, a bouncy castel for the kids and prepare hanging baskets they could take home with them.

Pursuit of Happiness.In depth article looking into the increasing investment of Housing Associations into the welfare of their staff.  The article features Adactus’s ‘Healthy Living’ campaign and details of how many of its staff have taken the scheme on.  To showcase the diverse range of activities supported under this Adactus scheme, the article tells the story of Catherine Elliot and her Lakeland Trail Running.

Friendship blossoms among good neighbours.As part of Manchester City Council’s “neighbours day” Adactus helped local residents in Collyhurst organise and take part in this successful event to improve the look of St. George’s Community Centre.  Green fingered locals worked on revitalising some of the flower beds and took part in the Adactus hosted workshops on growing your own plants and vegetables.

Just being neighbourly.Another event organised by local residents as part of the Manchester City Council’s “neighbours day”.  Adactus helped residents secure funding from the City Council to buy all the equipment and hold a BBQ in Clayton.  The rain held off and the BBQ was well attended.

Homefront DIY courses.Adactus Housing Association aims to help local residents improve their confidence in DIY and be able to make small improvements in their homes.  The Association is running DIY courses for residents in Ancoats, Miles Platting and Collyhurst.  The ‘Homefront’ project will include courses on painting and decorating, joinery, plumbing as well as Health & Safety.
