Right To Buy/Right To Acquire

• Within 7 days we will acknowledge receipt of your application
• We will send you a notice telling you whether you do or do not have the right to buy within 4 calendar weeks (28 days) or 8 weeks if we have to contact another Local Authority Landlord of receiving your right to buy application form and if we say you do not have the right to buy we will tell you the reasons why.
• We will arrange an independent valuation of your property at a time convenient to you
• We will send your offer notice telling you the price you have to pay for the property within 8 weeks of telling you that you have the right to buy if you are buying a freehold house. 12 weeks if your home is a flat, maisonette or leasehold house
• If you are buying a flat or maisonette the offer notice will also contain information about the cost of any future major works and how this may affect your service charge in the future

Leaseholders

• We will send six monthly statements for rent and service charges
• We will hold a leaseholders event annually
• We will issue a leaseholder guide to all new residents
