Mutual Exchange

If you are an assured tenant you have the right to carry out a mutual exchange or ‘swap’ with another assured tenant.  You can exchange with another tenant of either Chorley Community Housing, another Housing Association, or a local authority tenant. Certian conditions do apply and the exchange must be approved in writing from the landlords of both parties. Finding an exchange partner

If you would like to find someone who you can swap your home with, click here.
Alternatively, you can look through the Mutual Exchange books in the Chorley Community Housing office on Gillibrand Street. You can also advertise in a newspaper or shop windows. When you find a suitable property contact the tenant to see if they are interested and if so arrange to view each others homes. If you are both happy with the exchange you should each complete a Mutual Exchange Form and return this to the CCH office.
