ESTATE MANAGEMENT
STANDARDS
Our service standards for estate management have been agreed with Chorley Community Housing’s Tenants And Residents Panel. We aim to make your estates a pleasant environment for you to live in.
Estate walkabouts
We will:
- Carry out a walkabout on your estate at least once every 3 months and invite tenants and local representatives, plus other agencies.
- Advertise the dates of estate walkabouts in advance so that you can come along or tell us about any problems you would like us to look at.
- ‘Sign off’ the estate walkabout with tenant or local representatives and carry out the agreed actions within 5 working days.
- Report what action we have taken to the Tenants And Residents Panel every 3 months.
Block inspections
We will:
- Carry out an inspection of blocks of flats every month.
- Report any repairs that need carrying out, including any lights that are not working.
- Write to any residents who are storing items in communal areas in breach of their tenancy agreement or lease.
- Place a notice in the block following the inspection detailing the faults that have been identified and the action we have taken.
